Mechanical Belt Fastening System

Isotipo gris2_edited_edited.png

Mechanical Belt Fastening is the process of joining conveyor belt ends by metal hinges or plates, providing strength and durability with affordability and easy installation.
In heavy-duty applications like coal, cement, mining, and aggregate, there are two main belt fastener types: Hinged Plate and Solid Plate.
The Flexco® Bolt Hinged Fastening System is ideal for belt conveyor applications subject to length adjustments because the joint can be separated easily by removing the hinge pin. A combination of penetration and compression delivers strength and reliability to belts operating over smaller pulleys.
Solid plate fasteners consist of one plate that is installed into both ends of the belt and fastened together. The Flexco® Bolt Solid Plate Fastening System produces a strong, sift-free splice with superior holding ability thanks to a combination of top-and-bottom plate compression and high-tensile-strength bolts. These are installed into the belt using bolts, rivets, or staples.

Excellent abrasion resistance allows for long -lasting repairs, giving dramatic increases to conveyor belt service life. RubberLoc belt repair can be used on longitudinal cuts, skid board abrasion zones, and thru holes. This two -component material is unaffected by oil, grease and water, providing uncompromised solutions in the toughest environments. RubberLoc has a rapid cure time, allowing for normal use of conveyor belt in as little as one hour. Preparation includes roughing the surface of the belt area needing repair with a rough rasp or slow speed grinder.
